…and then some

Is the cup half empty or half full?

A lot of people see me as being a negative person.  I’m usually pretty depressed.

I was thinking just now, though.  I’m not a pessimist.  I’m a realist.  I see things for how they ARE, and not how bad they could be.  Which brings me to this concluding question:

If my concerns are about things of reality, and you see me as a pessimist, what does that really say about you?

I only have one comment on this: I was very pessimistic at one time in my life, and at that time, I insisted that I was a realist. Most optimists I know are not unrealistic, they just have a little faith in an enormous God who can do anything. If Cam’s family were realists (in the manner that you explained them), I believe that a VERY big majority of them would be dead. Camron is a miracle – he was born too early and should have died. If the premature birth wouldn’t have killed him, something related to the neurofibromatosis would have. He’s still kickin! Matt (Cam’s brother in law) got a nasty case of pneumonia and was in a drug-induced coma for a month. He shouldn’t have made it. Later on, Kindra got a blood clot: same thing. Cam’s mom has had a TON of health problems… diabetes, an aneurysm, AVM, heart and kidney troubles… but she’s still very much alive and active. :D

I think God sees their faith and gives them more reasons to have faith. :D
